Guess who (and happy New Year)
I’m sorry for the short-ish hiatus. I had two pieces of coursework and an exam to work through in December and January which effectively meant stats all day every day plus the usual breaks in-between for Xmas and New Year. I hope you’re all well rested and psyched about 2018. I don’t know about you but I always feel incredibly optimistic and renewed at the start of the year. Somehow it’s as if I’m starting a blank chapter in the story of my life and there are endless possibilities and things for me to do and record for posterity sake. And then day breaks and you realise that old habits die hard.
Except this time around, it’s a little different. This sense of a rejuvenated spirit has stuck around much longer than before. Here’s hoping I can make the most of it.
Anyway, that’s enough of a digression. I realise that I had left things hanging since my last post about Damian Hughes’ ‘The Five Steps to a Winning Mindset’. I promise there is going to be a part 2 and you should also expect two more posts about other events I attended back in December. One challenge is that these events are not necessarily fresh on my mind. Even though I am an avid note-taker (did I mention the amount of joy that I get from buying stationery? Nothing compares to it!), I don’t think I can relay the information in as much depth as I would have liked. In many ways, you live and learn. I will try my best going forward to post more regularly or at least quite soon after attending an event. As for the second challenge, I want to be more creative with my posts. Get ready for a visual experiment of sorts. I will be trying out new things both in terms of the look and feel of my blog and how I present information. And I say experiment because I am interested in learning new skills and putting them into practice as mini projects on my blog. I hope you will stick around, comment, like, share and support any which way you can. I think it will mesh well with my intentions for this blog so I’m really looking forward to getting started. It’s time to be more adventurous. Don’t you agree?
p.s. I am not a deranged writer (you just have to take my word for it).
